Tim Walz is a Democrat, but more than that he is an American. The reason the right seems him as so "radical" and a "threat to the country" is because they, despite trying to claim the label of "patriots" have moved so far away from the core principles upon which the United States was founded, that they would have labelled the very authors of the Constitution as "ultra-liberal" and "anti-American".
