  I think Kareena will suffer work dearth some day. She herself never played women beyond her age in her entire career. Just the bubbly run of the mill roles. Look at Tabu and Vidya. Even Kangana and Priyanka to an extent. They experimented a wide spectrum of characters early on, in their careers. As a result, audiences are sure, these few actresses deliver any damn work given to them beautifully. Kareena is a star, she has to go a long way to become an actor
