I worry about the size also, soon it wont fit in your pocket. And going to a smaller zice is not for me cause I like the bigger size and the better battery you get with the pro max.
I’m 100% with you on this one Greg. I want to upgrade my old phone but I don’t want this giant phone but still want the bigger battery and features. So this really sucks
For me, personally, I don’t mind a bigger screen. Maybe 7 or 7.5 is my cap. But, anything that folds is a no for me. Anything that feels like it needs to fold is a no for me. Anything too big I might as well get an iPad Mini phone. So, it can’t go too big. So, I agree with that. But I do not want smaller. I want my eyes to not feel strained. So, I like the bigger screens. And iPads I’m probably good with going no bigger than 14”. But to eaches own. People should have a chance to experience a flip iPhone if they want. I just don’t want one. So, I hope there’s an option that satisfies me that’s not a flip. It would be interesting to see if the Ultra iPhones become a flip.

With the protective case on, my 14 Pro Max is ridiculous Greg. I can't fit it in any pocket. Like you, I'm going with the smaller model if they make the Max any larger.
I wanted a 15 pro for its even smaller frame size, but can’t justify it coming from a 14 Pro. I wish the 16 Pro with even smaller bezels had the 6.1” screen. I hope regular model stays 6.1” and gets the smaller bezels eventually.

I agree with feeling punished for wanting the smaller phone, i've been keeping the Pro model based purely on size. As much as I've liked the Max options, I just can't go there yet with size. I want the great camera, better battery, but in the smaller phone. I don't understand why I can't have that. I'm already carrying enough Apple products around. I don't want my phone bigger. Keep, at least that one product; simple in size. "17 slim" with the perks??? I'm interested. But please keep it a normal size. My other issue with any Apple phone I've had….getting hot. In fact, the 14 Pro Max is larger than the 15 Pro Max, due to the latter having slightly thinner bezels. So the 16 PM will probably just be around the size of the 14 PM.

I like the Pro Max iPhones for battery and screen size. My poor old eyes can’t see as well anymore. I have a reading prescription in my glasses. And still have trouble sometimes when my eyes get dry and tired. When I try to read something on a friend’s smaller phone I have a lot of trouble. On my own Pro Max I even increased the default global font size 1 or 2 clicks! So I can see things better!!
Then there’s also watching video and playing games which is always better on a bigger screen.
So I welcome a 6.9” Pro Max as long as it still fits in my hand and in my pocket! 😂
That said I do think going beyond the rumored 6.9” Pro Max (in size) would be pushing it! There is a limit for the size of a phone! I don’t want to try to fit an “iPad” in my pants! 😂

I hope they won't make 7 inch or 8 inch phones in the future but knowing how obsessed people are with big screen sizes it's going to happen. I want to fit my phone in my pocket without it dropping out of my pocket and the phone getting damaged. If a phone can't fit in my pocket I don't consider it a real phone its more like a mini tablet at 7 or 8 inches. Truth is people will never be satisfied and will always want bigger even though bigger is bad with people with small pockets and small hands.

My biggest and only real hate for the 16 pro/pro max is that stupid capture button they're adding. I have a worry that there's gonna be a lot of accidental presses due to where it's placed, and if it's a haptic buttong like the rumors say, then it means that every case will have an opening for that one button which will look and feel tacky.
