The 2024 iPad Air, a testament to Apple's commitment to continuous improvement, boasts a sleek design, enhanced performance, and a host of new features that set it apart from its predecessors. The device's 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display offers a resolution of 2360 x 1640 pixels, providing a sharp and vibrant visual experience.

  • How does this compare to the 2018 iPad Pro. Is it worth the upgrade

  • I wanted to upgrade from my iPad mini. But since my Gen 2 Pencil does not work on this, I have to waste $100+ for the Pencil Pro. And the "reason" for the incompatibility is incredibly stupid. I will lose respect for anyone that accepts that reason. And all that processing power is pointless since this can't be used as a proper computer. Not worth it.

  • thank u so much for the video. I love watching all ur videos…But can i do storyboard or Animatics in Ipad air 2024? can u give a detailed review sir plz

  • I'm running a 2017 12.9 Pro, and it works fine, I love it – well as much as I can for someone who is PC and Android loyal, but they don't have procreate nor the responsivness of the Pencil. I wanted to ask what video editing apps you use, as I heard you mention it towards the end of the video?

I'm wanting to integrate more on to the ipad and likely upgrade to the Air 11, for travel more than anything but the new features like the hover and barrel make it kinda enticing and may make it the new daily. I look forward to your reply! Thanks for the great and comprehensive flick.

  • Must have items for IPad Air…120 Hz refresh rate, laminated screen, earphone jack, original Silver color body..!

  • Little mistake at 6:45 the usb-c apple pencil works aswell

  • How’s the battery?? I have a 5th gen ipad which drains battery like a hole in the car tank

  • Have you compared the air to the pro with the pen? After seeing the latency in the air I can’t un see it. I think it’s got to do with the refresh rate maybe.

  • If I primarily want to do digital drawing and use the Affinity apps, would the new Air be a good choice? And would 256 gb be enough or would 512 be a better choice?
    Thank you!

  • I think this will be a MONUMENTAL UPGRADE for me. Been using the 8th Gen base model iPad for 3+ years for illustration, school and gaming. And the main reason Im planning to upgrade is the storage, but ALSO, the M2 is also awesome for that price!

  • Thanks for the comparisons. So all in all not really perfection solution for artists that draw without trade offs. Hm I don’t get it. And why does Apple not offer any solution ? Xd

  • Your YouTube channel, over the years, has shown me that there are more options than just the popular expensive stuff to do digital art with. Knowing about the cheaper options helped me save for a much cheaper screen tablet to do the work I like until I was able to afford my first Wacon One tablet. Now that I got the experience of drawing on my Wacom screen display, I am confident in my new goal for saving for an ipad air to make web comics and write fictional stories. Your channel also got me into looking up drawing tablets and building the motivation to get those tablets. All I want to say is thank you.

  • So cool🤩 I don't have the money yet to buy IPAD Air😅. However, a tip which might be useful for the artists out there: when I used to draw in my desktop I found calming piano covers of popular songs helpful.

Like calming piano music are slower, and have been quite relaxing for my brain. It could be useful to boost your creativity🍀

  • If only samsung makes their spen thicker like apple pencil…

  • I always wonder what happens to the tablets and devices from all these tech review channels after the video is over with. 🤔

  • Yea I’m getting the air 🤗🤗🤗🤗 the pro is way too much for me lol

  • Brad you are probably the most reliable reviewer of tech for artists. Have you thought of doing a review for Minisforum V3? Looking forward to more reviews from you. Cheers mate.

  • Anyone – between a refurbished m2 iPad Pro 12.9 or the m2 iPad Air 13” which one would be better for digital art?

  • For me I prefer use 11” than 13” as the bigger the screen may defeat the purpose of portability and working on the go. I try my friend ipad pro and did not like the feel, the same feel that I have when I use 20” + graphic tablet display or those convertible laptop with touch screen.

  • Is there like a big difference in layer limit for this ipad air than with the older ipad pro models?

  • Thanks for the review! I'm buying my first iPad for drawing purposes and I also think that iPad Air 2024 fits my need without hurting the bank. Can't wait to try out Procreate! Love your art as always

  • Hello! Just bought a purple iPad Air today, curious what app you're using to draw/animate in?

  • The iPad Air is a great 80/20 machine. you get 80% off everything the Pro has for 20% less than buying the Pro. I just moved up from 3rd Gen Air. It feels the same for content browsing. The screen is nicer, the weight reduction is slight but noticeable. I am waiting to see if they fi some issues in IOS at WWDC. The file manager is perhaps the most significant But in general, the iPad Air is an effective desktop replacement and will be more so once iPad OS is enhanced to meet some specific requirements of creatives.

  • Hey just wanted to clarify, you say that the Apple Pencil Pro only works with the new iPad Air but this might not be correct

Their website says that the iPad Air 11 and 13 inch both support

    Supports Apple Pencil Pro

    Supports Apple Pencil (USB‑C)

  • Good review! Here's some more positivity people.
If you have a 13" ipad air you have a gorgeous, fast, and durable tablet. You didn't make the wrong choice, and you'll enjoy it for years to come. Every time somebody says you made the wrong choice, tell them I said to get rocks!

  • Hey, thanks for the great content!

Do you think the 11-inch iPad Air 6th Gen and the Apple Pencil Pro will work for someone who's brand new to Procreate? I plan to use the setup mainly for calligraphy, graffiti-inspired stuff, and somewhat simple drawings and sketches.

I'll also use the iPad in my Glidegear Teleprompter, which doesn't fit a device larger than 11 inches. Should I go through the hassle of changing the teleprompter for the 13-inch, or will the 11 be just fine? I am also kind of on a budget. I'll be happy if you answer.

  • I just wish there was a 16GB option for the Air

  • 60 hz, OLED – same old display in 2024. That's ridiculous

  • If yoy cant draw intermediately on a 2016 ipad dont even think about buying anything more expensive. Hone your skills first

  • Your audio feels choppy when you don't insert time gaps between your video segments.

  • What ipad should i get 11 inch ipad pro m4 or 13 inch ipad air m2 for digital art and animation ?? Does 11 inch ipad pro feels samll for drawing and animation??

  • Waiting for the review where you use it as your only device and cut out pc
