China accused of spying to create passenger jet

China is rolling out a new passenger airliner, designed to directly compete with Boeing and Airbus. Some say the designs were …

Title: China Accused of Cyber Espionage to Develop Passenger Jet Technology

In a recent report, the United States government has accused China of cyber espionage, alleging that the Chinese government has been targeting aerospace companies to gain access to sensitive data related to the development of passenger jets. This revelation comes at a time when tensions between the two nations are already high due to ongoing trade disputes and geopolitical conflicts.

The accusations, made by the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI, claim that Chinese state-sponsored hackers have been targeting aerospace companies in the United States and other countries, aiming to steal intellectual property and trade secrets. The stolen information is believed to be used in the development of China's own civil aviation industry, particularly in the creation of a new passenger jet.

While China has not yet responded to these allegations, this is not the first time such accusations have been made. In 2014, the Obama administration imposed sanctions on several Chinese entities for cyber espionage, including intellectual property theft from U.S. companies.

The latest accusations have sparked concerns about the escalating cyber war between the two nations. Critics argue that such activities undermine trust and hinder international cooperation, potentially slowing down technological advancements in various industries.

This news underscores the ongoing cybersecurity challenges faced by nations, particularly in the highly competitive aerospace industry. As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, the need for robust cybersecurity measures to protect intellectual property and trade secrets becomes more critical.

In summary, the United States government has accused China of cyber espionage, alleging that the Chinese government has been targeting aerospace companies to gain access to sensitive data related to the development of passenger jets. This is not a new issue, with similar accusations made in the past, and it highlights the ongoing cybersecurity challenges faced by nations, particularly in the highly competitive aerospace industry.

  • Rediculous. C919 uses LEAP engines and Honeywell avionics. It's co-developed with our companies rather than ''spying'' on them. Besides, Boeing 737 is merely a joke now. It's seriously outdated. If you ask me, I'd say C919 is inspired by A320 rather than B737. It has sidesticks and fly-by-wire system.

  • Oh my God. It looks like a plane! It is a national security risk

  • Great news for the airline market, a 3rd competitor enterd into the market creating more alternatives to airbus & boeing. I hope it is cheaper.

  • WE WAGE AN ECONOMIC WAR ON CHINA AND EXPECT CHINA TO OPEN ITS I.4 BILLION PEOPLE MARKET? SO THE CHINES BUILT AIRPLANE IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE A HOUSE? CHINA AS DEVELOPED 6 G AND HAVE THEIR OWN SPACE STATION AND IT IS NOT FALLING PART. CHINA LEADS IN 38 OF THE 44 WORLD LEADING TECHNOLOGY AND GRADUATES OVER 1 MILLION STEM STUDENTS A YEAR. THEY ARE NOT STEALING ANY THING. THEY ARE SMART.

  • Ban that plane. And ask allies to ban it ever landing on their territories.

  • Dont know about Boeing but China just bought 160 Airbus jets. They are also going to open a new assembly line in China for their A320. So Airbus is not going anywhere.
