I’ve been waiting and saving very slowly since 2020 to build a vey high end PC and the wait for this next gen is excruciating! I want to build one now but I feel like I should wait for these new cpus and gpus to release before landing on a build spec
i REALLY like my 7950x. If it has single core up to 6ghz, i might upgrade for the gaming performance. that said, ive had my 7950x since a month or two after its launch last year. How much money could i even expect off it after reselling?
the RAM Speed aka Mhz never have been interesting..in fact an old DDR2 can have a 20 ns speed a timing no even a DDR5 6400 can ever reach… i you cant hold the low timings while "oc" the speed aka raising some speed than the you understand what i mean … while everyone is loking the same way at thing – we know that what most people believer is 99% inacurate aka wrong — im looking at this way…. the sweet spot are is 70% timing and 30% Mhz ..try to find it

Im happy i bought 6400mhz ram for my 7600 (was cheaper than 6000mhz bcs 6400mhz was a cheaper brand) and i have no issues, now ill have the best memory for zen5 so im glad this works
the only thing i want to know about is how hot itll run. way more watts expected in comparison to the 7000 i just hope its not even more hot…
my advice? wait for the new ddr6 ram as well, just do a full upgrade when they release xd cpus and the 5000 series gpus, get a full upgrade at once, the new smaller die for cpus is worth it alone imo

Your ad for a key company is a bad idea. These are pulled/harvested keys that actually have an expiry date. Well…..they don’t…..but these keys do. How is this? Why don’t they state this clearly on their site? My Tech Company does not trust these key sites. They’re a bit in the grey….a bit shady.

I'm anxiously awaiting AMD's next desktop offering. I bought the 5950x for music production and I fell in love with it when fired up a previously ground-to-a-halt project and it was buttery smooth. I'm skipping the 7950 and will buy whatever the next thing is!
I've had Intel chips since the 90s and my first foray into the AMD world was pure joy.
I heard Apple Silicon is good for music production too, but as a mastering engineer and producer for two decades, my projects have become increasingly ridiculous.. especially in RAM usage. Some of the music sample instruments use gigabytes of RAM just to load up… and the cost of Apple memory is pure insult.. I'm needing 64GB and above just to open some music projects.
