Title: Anticipating the NVIDIA RTX 5090: A Closer Look at the Upcoming GPU and Potential Challenges
1. Introduction
In the ever-evolving world of graphics processing units (GPUs), the rumor mill has been buzzing about NVIDIA’s upcoming flagship model, the RTX 5090. Expected to be another significant leap forward in performance, the hype around this potential powerhouse is palpable. However, as with any new technology, there is always a need to scrutinize both its promising features and potential pitfalls. This article delves into the anticipated specifications of the NVIDIA RTX 5090 and discusses the potential challenges that might arise.
2. Expected Specifications
The RTX 5090 is expected to be built on the 7nm process, which should lead to improved efficiency and power consumption compared to its predecessors. Rumors suggest that the GPU will feature Ga102, a die with 72 Billion transistors, significantly larger than the Ampere GPUs’ Ga102 die size of 54 Billion transistors. This increased transistor count is likely to facilitate more CUDA cores and faster memory, resulting in a substantial performance boost.
3. Improved Gaming Performance
With more CUDA cores and a potential memory upgrade, the RTX 5090 is anticipated to offer stunning gaming performance. It could provide seamless 8K gaming at 60 frames per second (FPS) or possibly even higher resolutions. Enhanced ray-tracing capabilities and deep learning supersampling (DLSS) technology may also be part of the RTX 5090’s arsenal, further pushing the boundaries of realism in modern video games.
4. Potential Challenges
Despite the promising features, several challenges might arise with the RTX 5090’s release. Firstly, the high-end segment of the PC gaming market is becoming increasingly crowded. AMD’s latest flagship, the Radeon RX 6900 XT, is a formidable competitor, offering competitive performance at a slightly lower price point. Therefore, launch pricing and availability could be critical factors in determining the RTX 5090’s market share.
Secondly, the high manufacturing overhead associated with the RTX 5090’s die size could lead to elevated production costs. If NVIDIA chooses to pass these costs onto consumers, it could result in a significant price premium over other high-end GPUs, which may deter some potential customers.
Lastly, the rapid pace of technology development means that even the most powerful hardware might become outdated relatively quickly. The RTX 5090 inevitably faces the same fate, necessitating continuous innovation to maintain its relevance in an evolving market.
5. Conclusion
The RTX 5090 presents an exciting prospect for PC gaming enthusiasts, promising unprecedented levels of performance and gaming realism. However, potential challenges such as competition from AMD, production costs, and the rapid pace of technology development should not be ignored. As always, it will be crucial for NVIDIA to balance cutting-edge technology with pricing and compatibility considerations for a successful product launch. The road to the RTX 5090 is fraught with challenges, but the opportunity for an extraordinary gaming experience remains enticing.

and you can bet its gonna be banned in china and some other massive supplier country's in middle east so even more expensive 🫰
Of course….they do their best business with "shortages".
I see a large nubmer of available RTX 4090 ( and all other Cards ) in the European shops. The Price is somewhere around 1500 – 2300 USD. The War in Ukraine and a rising energy Prices, are big concerns for the People… and a 12VHPWR cable too. I see some People selling the RTX 4090 in the second hand market too. I dont care about the RTX40XX or the RX70XX. In 1080p im safe even with AMD APUs too, if my GPU goes down.
I was wondering why I didn't get any of your videos. It was because I was unsubscribed WTF
You won't believe my comment as it's too good to be true. I have a friend in NAVIDA sales. He told me he had some good/bad news concerning the 5090. The good news was I could buy a 5090 for about $2000 when they are released. Now, the bad news. To buy one at that price, I'll need to pre-order at least 50 units, make a pre-order, make a non-refundable deposit of 30%, pay a shipping fee of $100 per card, and place my order within 30 days. Remember, I said too good to be true, and April 1st is still months away.
Just wait, no one needs something that bad to pay scalpers.
All speculation and fear mongering. If they build it people will come.
They ain't overcharging if you people keep paying up.
"shortage" will be good excuse for pumping prices
I’m keeping my TUF 4080 super for the next 8 years at a minimum
Looking for a 4080-S FE at mrsp but they are nowhere to be found. Inventory for this I suspect was really low
i might upgrade to 4070 ti super next year
It's irresponsible to label intentional under-supply as a shortage. They are two different things and it should never be classified incorrectly.
Sure..wink wink
its not coming this year
Nvidia practices are dirty as hell.
Clickbait allegations
Boycotting Nvidia
I was just able to get a white Strix 4090 at retail. It'll last me a long long time.. at least until the 5090 is available on store shelves.
even old gpus can run in pcie 1.0-4.0 but fps are a big drop. get those agp x16 future gpus.
using exel powerpoint a 1mb-256 mb are enough. even https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zG65ak8KAKM older gpus can run tings somehow good, but limited 4 gb in games in 4 fps-12 fps 8-16 good- future games 48-96gb gpu vram
Scalpers on ebay will try to take advantage , but I will bet high, win, and won't pay!
NVIDIA is suffering from succes
seguramente yo voy a comprar la 5070ti
Getting a 5090 when it drops…3k saved up just incase.
Hello I have question is there anyway to get Nvidia to produce mid to lower end cards without AI and just rely on raw GPU power?
Maybe Nvidia is starting the Hype to get the ball rolling?
1. The 5090 is a years off, You making it sound like its coming next month
This is dry news until then and clickbait..Talk about something thats around the corner
I'm not all too worried about the RTX 5090, all I care is the RTX 5080. As soon as I hear the announcement of the released date, I'll set up camp at Micro Center just to get my hands on the 5080 while everyone is distracted by the Goddess 5090😉
It wont be a shortage because no one can afford it
I'm Interested to see if 5080 will match or beat 4090
My monster 4070ti came yesterday but i might be selling it for the 5070-80 if anybody wants my card when that times comes leave me a comment on this page
Yep scalpers are waiting to charge you 3500 or the chinese will buy.them all again and strip everything
will a maximum specs pc right now be compatible with an rtx 5090 ? (like power connection pin etc)
They will lined up around the block no matter how much they have to pay….
The hell with the new RTX 5090 I'm waiting for the RTX 9090…even if I have to sell my kidneys!
Welp! Looks like AMD and Intel will be better options, huh?
I’m just a little confused – what is the bad news?
In China there will be no shortage simply because scalpers here sell nothing.
Waiting for these to get scalped
With bitcoin hitting $60k yesterday, I hope it doesn't usher in a bunch of crypto miners back to scalping GPUs again. With increased demand beyond gamers this time around, this might be worse than 2020-2022 shortage.
Oh man, another GPU I probably won't ever be able to get…
Well good thing I got My 4080. Expensive but I'm not gonna think about buying more shit fn
Im buying 14-42 of these, Just saying. And im expecting to pay 2500 USD each.
I will buy 5090, and please share correct info, GPU with less than 24gb vram is not useful for AI
please guys, when it drops buy it at once. we need beta testers we aint gonna find all the problems without your monies.
also come on, every time they do the same thing since "super" show started, first they release low spec chips and then next year they slowly release the normal ones as "super", get rid of the chips and have constant revenue.
These companies dont play the yolo game, they already have plans for the next 10 years and working on then rn, we're just watching them play their game….
Once, they did the mistake with 10series and they aint going to make it again.
I know a person that paid $2000 for a 3080.
You will have to wait more months up to one year to get RTX 5090, just like people couldn't get RTX 4090 before 2023.
Thats why im about to buy a 4090. Or else im just gonna be waiting over a year to enjoy any 4k gaming and tomorrow is not guaranteed Can always sell and upgrade later if its worth it
