  • GPU prices are never going to be reasonable again with Crypto around. It’s a sad reality we have to accept.

  • I’m over here still running a base 1080 and out performing so many people it’s insane. People just need to understand how to handle graphic settings

  • With the 30 series, the joke was on the scalpers. I forked over $689 for a 3060 TI to a "3rd party seller" on Amazon, they messed up my order and sent me 2 of the cards. Don't be a scalper. Sooner or later it catches up with you. My brother about died when I showed up at his door with a GPU. He had just built a system on intel 10th gen (i think) That was right after everything sky rocketed. He was running a GTX 670 that we found at the flea market as a backup GPU right before the lockdown. I remember he was considering paying nearly $300 for a GTX 1050 TI because it was the "best" bang for the buck at the time on the used market. Lord God that was a sad time to be a gamer. That 670 is still in one of my builds in my TV room that is used for streaming to our consoles. While it doesn't get much stress now days, its STILL holding strong.

  • I got the 7800gtx.
Wait don’t you mean gtx 7800
    Nah. The 7800gtx

  • There was nothing like two 8800’s in sli playing Crysis on a 46” LCD screen. Console gamers would see it and be in disbelief. Caused many friends to build their first gaming PC. Great list! Brought back some good memories

  • 1 year later and turns out nvidia did unlaunch the 4080 afterall. at least it came with a price DROP!!

  • If you ask me, the GTX 1080Ti is slightly overrated, as it's really held back by now being an RTX card and that did mean it's used by date was earlier than it could have been. It technically is still the best card in the last decade.

And also, the 30 series if you ask me is only A tier, it's price to performance was amazing, and if you ignore the stock issues and the scalper problems, and you got a card for MSRP early on like I did, then it's great. However the Vram problem was seen at launch, and plenty of people like myself were in denial that it would be an issue, I was just trying to hide the fact that I'd bought a 3080 which wasn't gonna get me past early 2023. People can argue against me here, but if you bought a 3070 or better, you were probably at 1440p or 4k, and you were most definitely playing newer games… Are you still running decent settings? Are you still turning on RT? If you are, you thought ahead and got a 3090

  • well. it is 2024 now and im very happy now as I have managed to pick up a 3070 for just £240 used on ebay. 3070s and 30s cards are becoming much more affordable its ridiculous. hell even a 3080 is under £400 (around 375) which compared to not long ago is insane. (was roughly 500 in January). But my friend decided to unfortunately buy a 2060 during the peak of the crash and got it for £550 which is outrageously bad given it performs worse than a 1080.

  • Shoutout to all the homies who got $35 from that 970 class action lawsuit settlement

  • After the release of the total flop that is the 4060 and Ti i would've lowered the tier for 40 series. I truly hope the 50 series can make a comeback otherwise I'll be staying team red.

  • I just find it Dumb at how the Quality cards of the last 2 generations still drives up the cost of a "Gaming-Laptop". Still can't find 6-8gb in a decent-laptop for less than $1,000. When a "New" laptop/from 2022 still costs $1,400, you know it's all about the GPU. The tech-version of "Scalpers" I guess.

  • Fun fact the gtx 280 outperforms the integrated graphics of the ryzen 7 3720U by about 30% lol it´s a 26 year gap lol lol lol

  • Rn stuck on 980Ti
But I had 480Ti once… And hooo boy… I didn't need the heater in winter, because it on it's own did act as room heater… It generated so much heat it made CPU throttle from overheating, overheated PSU 'till it eventually stopped working, burned the GPU powercable (although that's due it being converter from molex) and was so heated most of the time it started to slag under it's own weight.

  • the 40 series value is bad, but the 40 series performance especially in the 4080 super and the 4090 is very good

  • in 2016 I remember going in the small PC shop and asking them what their best graphics card is they had… buying my ASUS 1070 for 500$.
I used it until March 23rd 2021 went to the same shop to have them check it after artifacts appeard and it set out, they only diagnosed it as the cause and it died.
so I went for 3 more years with a GTX 1650 for 160$ and this year in march I upgraded my 2018 PC completely and bought my 4060TI, hoping it will last for the next coming years.

  • I remember running a gtx 480 for years when I was a kid

  • still have my rtx 2060 bc i'm broke lmao

  • RIP 3DFX! i still have a few 3DFX cards and a huge banner from there last gpu ad run! ;-P

  • I know the video was focused on the 80 cards in the latter half but I just wanna give a shout out to the GTX 1070, a great value GPU that I had for 7 years.

  • My walltet isnt bulky, since there is nothing in it 😁
