So is 7900xtx an upgrade over 3090fe?
thanks for mentioning my gpu rx 580😂
Im here because apparently 10gb wasnt enough for a 3080…
Just nonstop bashing 4080 lol. Just seems like definitely favor amd no matter what issues it has and everytime it does there is some excuse to why it has these problems yet I prefere a nvidea which you can just plug and play without any b.s. to each there own and great review non the less
When i bought a new gaming rig, i remembered how Nividia treated us during the epedemic, i got the RX 7900 XTX.
A year later and the 4080 is still $1200+
Overclocked red devil xtx at exactly half the price of a 4090 = big win.
did you know rx7900xtx will bottleneck unless using new threadrippers
i have the xfx speedster merc 310 7900xtx and it takes 3 6+2pin PCIE connectors but the card in the beginning had two, is this just a difference between the distributor?
Terrible market for cards. AMD really has zero answer for RT and doesnt seem to give a damn. Oh well
So you get 70% of the performance at half the price right now.
As close as it comes to the 4090, at half the price, it seems like a no brainer.
Why would my xfx 7900xtx be pulling 428 watts when underload? Card doesnt get hot and seems super stable.
Love this channel. I was all set to buy a 7900xtx but then came across a 1 month used local 4080 FE in perfect condition for $800 and no tax. Super happy so far coming from a 6900XT with a ton of coil whine. The 4080 is silent and I waterblocked it so it never really gets above 40-45 degrees celsius. RT is actually pretty cool in some games with DLSS.
Just managed to grab a used Sapphire RX 7900 XTX Pulse for 690 euros. That's my gaming secured for the next couple of years. And as for RT, ya can keep it. It's hit-and-miss, overrated tripe, imo. Have a nice day, Ladies & Gentlemen 🙂
Good review but the failure to portray the importance of the extra 8GB of VRAM vs the 4080 is not going to age well…
I dont read this the save way I'm sad to say. I can't here looking for excuses to prep myself for moving to AMD in a year or two's time. Unfortunately I think running without super sampling technology is now a Lucy that only 4090s can afford. But for me the super sampled Raytrace performance is just not good enough to consider. I'll have my cards for about 4 years probably.
AMD is a PR disaster. Simply can't watch their dumb fake artificial presentations. I don't know how one can be so far away form the real world.
Don't buy dx12 crashes all the time
So basically, is a little bit more of RT performance worth an extra $300? Absolutely not..
They still aren't affordable at all. I dont believe a 60 gpu should be 300+ more 160 brand new or most should be about the price of a 1650 ti version.
